This time of year, we find ourselves craving routine and healthy food. Our energy levels tend to be quite low which can make it even more challenging to motivate ourselves to plan and prepare healthy recipes to kickstart the year ahead. No need to worry, we have you covered! Here are some of our favourite and simple healthy recipes and snacks that will help you fight off the January blues without feeling deprived.
Enjoy!
- Shepherdless Pie by Indy Power – sick of eating meat after all the festivities? This meat-free take on a Shepards pie has all the flavour and double the healthy veg… Win Win!
- Pecan Banana Bread – from our expert Nutritionist, Jessica O’ Dwyer
This high-protein, grain-free bread makes a delicious breakfast option or snack. It helps to reduce inflammation and heal the gut lining, through the avoidance of ‘specific carbohydrates’ that are more difficult to digest. You’ll need a food processor or blender to grind the pecan nuts to form a flour-like consistency. The bread is best served warm or toasted, spread with a little coconut oil or nut butter.

3. Teriyaki Salmon Parcels – The kids can help out with this one too as it is super easy!
4. Creamy Mushroom Soup by Indy Power.

We hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we did!
